A taste of Egypt

It's not every day one can see a sphinx, much less two. Nellie wanted a long ramble and we decided to head for a street that is now farther away than I usually walk anymore. It had been awhile and it's always interesting to see what has changed and what has remained the same. Admittedly, really wasn't expecting anything dramatic and wasn't disappointed in that regard as the street was mostly as we last left it several months ago. The sphinxes were still there. The shame is that they are in front of a very ordinary, bordering on boring, house. Which is too bad because of course I could see so many cool things to do to jazz it all up and play on the theme. Be that as it may, they are a nice touch:
